Studies in Labour History (Ashgate)

The idea for a book series, eventually titled Studies in Labour History, emerged from discussions in the Society for the Study of Labour History in the early to mid-1990s. Ashgate was the first publisher, with Chris Wrigley as the general editor and Eric Hobsbawm as an adviser. By the time the Ashgate contract came to an end, Malcolm Chase was the general editor; the 31 titles were later transferred to Routledge where, apart from one, all are still available. They are listed below.
