SSLH book series

The Society for the Study of Labour History is proud to be associated with two excellent series of books on labour history.

Studies in Labour History (Liverpool University Press)
Since 2012, we have partnered Liverpool University Press to publish 17 books which extend the breadth of labour history’s gaze beyond conventionally organized workers, sometimes to workplace experiences in general, sometimes to industrial relations, but also to working-class lives beyond the immediate realm of work in households and communities. Studies in Labour History (Ashgate)
Between 1998 and 2010, we worked with Ashgate to publish 31 books on labour history. The series includes seminal titles on trade union history, coal mining communities and the birth of the Labour Party, but also takes a broader perspective on the experience of workers outside traditional labour movement structures.
