The Society for the Study of Labour History offers financial support to PhD students, post-graduate researchers and independent scholars engaged in postgraduate-level research, as well as to BA and MA students to support archival and library research.

The society also offers financial support for conferences and public events with a focus on labour history.

Find out more about the SSLH BA/Masters Dissertation Bursary to support archival and library research that will contribute to a dissertation on a labour history topic. This Bursary is for final year undergraduates and those taking a taught Masters degree.

We take a broad view of ‘labour history’ that includes cultural and social aspects as well as political and institutional ones. Applications, for a maximum of £850 per event, are welcome at any time of year.
