Labour history books in paperback

Two more books in the Studies in Labour History series will soon be published in paperback. The series is published by the Society in association with Liverpool University Press and currently includes nineteen books.

Workers of the Empire, Unite: Radical and Popular Challenges to British Imperialism, 1910s-1960s, by Yann Béliard and Professor Neville Kirk, is due out on 1 March 2024. An important contribution to the history of decolonisation, the book focuses on the role played by working people, their experiences, initiatives and organisations, in the dissolution of the British Empire, both in the metropole and in the colonies. Transatlantic Radicalism: Socialist and Anarchist Exchanges in the 19th and 20th Centuries, by Frank Jacob and Mario Keßler, is set for paperback publication on 1 April 2024. The book shows how transatlantic socialist and anarchist networks evolved, and looks at individuals who have so far been not of interest for the major histories of transnational political radicalism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
