The Marx Memorial Library is hosting a free online session on disaster planning for archivists and librarians on behalf of the Society for the Study of Labour History’s Archives & Resources Committee. In part, the event will reflect on lessons learnt from the flood that hit the Marx Memorial Library in September 2019.
The session takes place from 2pm to 3.30pm on Friday 5 February. Speakers are:
- Emma Dadson, Harwell Emergency Planning Consultancy
- Sally McInnes, Head of Unique Collections and Collections Care at the National Library of Wales; reflections on 2013 fire
- Meirian Jump, Marx Memorial Library; reflections on 2019 flood
