Hull University Archives at Hull History Centre

Brief History

Hull History Centre opened in 2010. It is a partnership between Hull City Council and the University of Hull, and houses their archives and local studies collections.

Collections

The City Archives collections relate to the city of Hull and the surrounding area. The University’s collection specialisms are: modern literature and drama, maritime history, and politics and pressure groups. For more information, click here .

Opening Times

Monday to Friday 9.30 to 5.30.
Saturday 9.00 to 4.30.

The Centre is 15 minute’s walk from Hull Paragon railway station and bus Interchange.

Access Details

Access to the archives requires a CARN ticket, which in turn requires proof of identity. Temporary tickets can be issued for a first visit if the user has no ID with them.
